The population is unknown. There could be as many as a few hundred or as little as a few dozen

2 large horns that can be up to 20 inches are found on males and females

Bold white markings can be found on their faces

The average height is 33 inches at the shoulder

They weigh 176 pounds to 220 pounds

Discovered in 1992

Discovered by the Ministry of Forestry of Vietnam and the World Wildlife Fund

Saola means spinning-wheel post horn.

The name comes from a Tai language

The Saola is also called the Asian unicorn
